In a recent rescue operation, the district administration of Jammu has successfully rescued nine homeless children from various areas of Jammu City over the past two days.
As part of a focused rescue drive, three children were found in the Gole Market area today. The operation aimed to rescue children who are forced into begging, rag-picking, and child labor.
On the previous day, the District Task Force conducted a similar operation in Talab Tillo, rescuing six children engaged in begging and rag-picking. The group included three boys and three girls. All of the rescued children have been handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for rehabilitation and care.
The children are now being placed in shelter homes, where they will receive proper care and attention. The district administration has urged the public to report cases of child labor and begging. Citizens can report these issues via WhatsApp or calls at 7006161996.
