Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday seized six kilograms of narcotics, believed to be high-grade heroin worth over Rs 30 crore in the international market, from a village near the Line of Control in Rajouri district. The recovery was made in a forward village in the Nowshera sector based on the disclosures of two drug peddlers, who had been arrested a few weeks earlier with a previous consignment of drugs.
The consignment, smuggled across the border, was hidden in a secluded location. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter, and further arrests and recoveries are expected in the coming days.
