Accompanied by DIG JSK Range, the IGP reviewed the deployment of personnel, security protocols, and law enforcement preparedness in the area. During the visit, IGP Jammu interacted with the officers on duty, inquiring about operational challenges and their requirements. He instructed them to remain vigilant, ensuring that security measures are rigorously enforced for the safety of the local population and smooth law enforcement operations.
“The inspection focused on assessing the effectiveness of patrolling, traffic management, and overall security measures along the key thoroughfare. Both the IGP and DIG highlighted the importance of maintaining a robust and responsive policing system, especially in areas with heavy traffic and strategic significance,” said a police spokesperson.
The IGP stressed the need for continuous vigilance and improvement in policing strategies.
“Additional measures to enhance security in the region are currently under review, focusing on real-time monitoring and swift responses to any emerging situations,” the spokesperson added, quoting the IGP.
