The Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, stated that strict action will be taken against schools found responsible for jeopardizing students’ careers. Speaking to reporters, she expressed her concerns over the unfortunate situation where some eligible students were unable to sit for the annual 10th standard exams due to negligence at various levels.
The Minister emphasized that the government had launched an inquiry into the issue. “An inquiry committee has been set up, and anyone found guilty will face strict action. Playing with the future of students will not be tolerated,” she remarked.
In response to the issue, Itoo assured that the government would take all necessary measures to help the students who missed their exams. “We will do everything possible to support the eligible students who couldn’t appear in the Class-10 exams,” she added.
Additionally, the Education Minister provided updates on the distribution of textbooks. She mentioned that 70-80% of textbooks had already reached district levels, and the remaining 20-30% would be distributed before the end of the winter break.
Earlier, the government had issued admit cards to all eligible applicants after concerns were raised about 22 10th standard students being denied exam registration forms.
Itoo reiterated that the academic year of the students is extremely valuable, and the government would ensure it was not wasted under any circumstances.
