
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the occasion of Mahashivratri, which is being celebrated today. In his message, the Lieutenant Governor conveyed, “On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, I offer my heartfelt greetings and wish everyone health, happiness, and prosperity.”
He further stated, “The sacred festival, celebrated as ‘Herath’ by the Kashmiri Pandit community, is a time for us to rededicate ourselves to a life of commitment, truth, brotherhood, and compassion. It represents a celebration of devotion and divinity, symbolizing our inner journey to attain higher levels of consciousness.”
The Lieutenant Governor prayed to Lord Shiva for guidance on the path of righteousness and blessings for all in the years to come.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended his warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Herath (Mahashivratri). In his message, the Chief Minister described the festival as a joyous occasion that symbolizes faith, devotion, and spiritual renewal.
He prayed for the sacred festival to bring peace, prosperity, and divine blessings to every home and all those celebrating. The Chief Minister also shared his greetings on his official X account, posting: “Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Herath!
